Position Overview:

The Business Practitioner Leader for Service will be a highly effective leader with expertise in business process transformations and continuous improvements. He or she will lead events and be a key member to ensure continuous improvement and lean applications/tools are utilized to benefit the business. They will develop local capabilities to deliver visible business results, through a hands-on deployment, coaching and action-taking leadership style. This role reports into the CHVAC Commercial Business Process Leader and will involve strong stakeholder engagement with exposure at all levels of the CHVAC Commercial organization and across different facilities for varying lengths of time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discover and provide internal and external opportunities for the overall continuous improvement activities.

  • Stimulate growth by leading focused Carrier Excellence/Six Sigma/Lean events to drive productivity gains.

  • Lead the analysis of the current state to identify and prioritize opportunities for streamlined business processes.

  • Drive projects and programs for the opportunities identified, ensure accountability to timelines, deliverables, and business outcomes.

  • Lead complex cross-functional process improvement projects that require data and analytical skills.

  • Implement, improve, and sustain adoption of foundational operational business processes.

  • Deliver effective change management that engages and promotes employee relations across the professional and hourly workforce.

  • Implement Business Process projects that return a bottom-line value of $50,000 or more to the organization.

  • Manage and communicate project status including milestones, risks, and action items to drive completion in a timely manner (on time, in budget) to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive presentations.

  • Work with Operations teams to install and drive good daily management and problem-solving processes; build appropriate standard work and weekly/monthly performance scorecards for enhanced visual management.

  • Support additional improvement activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years’ experience in industrial field service/equipment industries

  • 2+ years of experience managing improvement projects with proven business results.

  • 5+ years of experience with Six Sigma, Lean or continuous improvement methodology

  • 3+ years of business process experience, cross-functional team management

Travel Requirement:

  • Ability to travel (US, Canada) regularly (30+%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven data and analytical skills

  • Strong people skills and communication skills.
