Job Summary

Experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional, working independently. Performs engineering work and applied research, coordinates activities involving the design and development of electronic equipment and devices, and prepares engineering sketches and product information documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform 3D CFD - flow and heat transfer simulations for a wide range of HVAC domain components such as Heat exchangers, expansion valves etc..

  • Perform flow & heat transfer hand calculation before initiating the 3d CFD simulation for better understanding of the assembly model.

  • Should be able to handle “two phase flows including heat transfer” simulations.

  • Initiating and running as simulation project lead and co-Investigator of one or more major projects (or a number of minor projects) to meet internal and external customer’s timescales and to complete the work within the budgeted allowance.

  • Perform CFD analysis using MSC Cradle/ANSYS fluent where the entire process must be covered, i.e. from data/information acquisition, CAD data pre-processing, model build, to the analysis and final presentation.

  • Provide design suggestions/value additions based on analysis results and engineering judgment to improve product design.

  • Able to handle multiple projects.

  • Provide presentation of technical analysis and summary of results.

  • Create and improve standard work practices and procedures..

  • Interaction with test engineer and support on Design of model.

  • Willingness to learn and advance skillset.

  • Provide design engineering services for components and subsystems.

  • Provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality, reliability and stability.

  • Willing to travel (if and when needed) to interact with offshore team and develop domain knowledge as needed.

  • Provide accurate and detailed reports of CFD results.

  • Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.

  • Work with testing team in developing and executing design verification plans and testing methods.

  • Attend team meetings to discuss about design techniques and issues.

  • Ensure that product design and performance meets technical and functional requirements.

  • Develop process improvements and standard work practices for operational efficiency

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • MS or M Tech degree in Engineering (Thermal / Aerospace / Engineering Science) from a recognized university with 8-10 years of experience.

  • Develop and maintain specific CAE/CFD methodologies for HVAC Commercial/Light Commercial/Residential product lines.

  • Interface with other CAE/CFD groups on product development and optimization studies

  • Develop relationships and communicate with fellow CAE engineers within the global organization with the purpose of knowledge and workload sharing.

  • Testing / Simulation coordination: conduct correlation studies between CFD and lab testing for improvement and verification of CFD models and improvement in accuracy and consistency of lab testing of test components or system/sub-systems.

  • Contribute to development of engineering technology and tools.

  • ANSYS Fluent & fluent Mesher, Ansys mesher & CFX, ICEM CFD.

  • MSC Cradle( ScFlow, SCstream)

  • CAD Knowledge (Pro-E, Ansys Spaceclaim, )

  • Desirable skills

  • C++/C#, Matlab/Simulink
