Job Summary:

Experienced Mechanical Engineer. Executes elements of product development activities and testing. Responsible for enhancing commonality and optimization of product and components.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform linear, non - linear, linear dynamic analysis like modal harmonic and random vibration analysis for mechanical and HVAC systems.

  • Good understanding and hands on in performing Vibro-acoustics and NVH analysis.

  • Ability to interpret the physical testing results (Impact, Sweep, shaker table & DB levels).

  • Provide effective design solutions to optimize product functionality, reliability and stability.

  • Provide technical expertise in problem resolution, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

  • Willing to travel (if and when needed) to interact with offshore team and develop domain knowledge as needed.

  • Provide accurate and detailed reports of FEA results.

  • Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements.

  • Work with testing team in developing and executing design verification plans and mechanical testing methods.

  • Attend team meetings to discuss about design techniques and issues.

  • Ensure that product design and performance meets technical and functional requirements.

  • Guide less experienced staff in design engineering techniques.

  • Develop process improvements and standard work practices for operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:​

  • MS or M Tech degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Aerospace / Engineering Science) from a recognized university with 8-10 years of experience.

  • Strong background in dynamic analysis including vibration, fatigue and Numerical Methods

  • experience with 2D/3D FEA simulation ( 8-10 years )

  • understanding of HVAC, heat-exchanger and climate control systems

  • high communication and interpersonal skills

  • highly driven, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision

  • Hands on experience on tools like MSC Nastran, Patran, Actran, ANSYS mechanical

  • CAD Knowledge (Pro-E, Spaceclaim)

  • Manage elements of product development activities including cost estimates, implementation of standard specifications, drawing board layout and interpretation, and development of performance or maintenance requirements.

  • Execute test and qualification for systems, sub-systems, and components. Review test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.

  • Enhance commonality and optimization of product & components.

  • Test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects and necessity of modification.

  • Produce parts, specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, systems or work orders / purchase requests

  • Work with quality clinic and related departments to support the test and verification of field issues.
