About This Role

Carrier is looking for an established inside sales professional. Completes inside sales objectives ensuring compliance with sales policies to provide sales effectiveness. As a Senior Inside Sales Estimator , you will be crucial to the business by aiding in the pricing of services to offer customers the best solution. We are looking for a team member who is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and enjoys quantitative problem-solving. You will be able to advance your skills to prepare yourself for future endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review specification and control schematics.

  • Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes.

  • Create detailed scope letters and proposals.

  • Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals.

  • Provide accurate estimates and proposals.

  • Partner closely with our operations and engineering teams to provide the best solutions and pricing.

  • Assist with the selection of contractors.

  • Qualify opportunities and assist to develop bid strategy. Required Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline.

  • Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions.

  • Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software, Bid Tracer.

  • Ability to solve moderate to challenging financial and accounting-related issues.

  • Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management.

  • Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers.

  • Self-motivated and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers.
