Manages the execution of Supplier Quality & Development objectives. May lead a team of intermediate level Quality professionals or a team of supervisors of Technical / Business support employees. Sets day-to-day operational objectives for supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises processes related to Supplier Quality & Development initiatives, including supplier qualifications / certifications, assessmentss, monitoring, escape management, and / or quality issue resolution processes.

  • Supervises implementation of supplier specific quality initiative strategies.

  • Supervises Supplier Quality-related activities, such as raw material assessments, design of contracted manufactured items, and / or materials packaging; ensuring service providers and laboratories employ good manufacturing practices (GMP) and procurement practices meet or exceed requirements.

  • Supervises processes or standards to support the Carrier Supplier Gold program, ensuring healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.

  • Supervises processes to ensure that supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) acceptance.

Requirements

  • University degree.

  • 4 years of experience in the area. Industry (HVAC or metal-mechanic).

  • Advanced and conversational English.

  • Problem solving and root cause tools.

  • Experience in ISO audits.

  • Project management or implementation.

  • Statistical control and data or process analysis.

  • Knowledge of quality metrics (FPY and Scrap.).

  • First parts release, process and product auditing and implementation of quality criteria and inspection routines.

  • Knowledge in Presses.

  • Minitab or any statistical tool.

  • Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)

  • Power BI (Desirable)

  • GD&T (Desirable). Interpretation of drawings and geometric tolerances.
