About the role

The Digital Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for Carrier HVAC in Japan, specializing in Innovation and Data Strategy, serves as a key liaison between technology and business units. This role is focused on driving digital innovation and leveraging data to enhance Carrier's HVAC solutions and services in the Japanese market. By collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Digital BRM identifies opportunities for technological advancement, implements data-driven strategies, and ensures alignment with business objectives to drive growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Process Improvement BRM Japan, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with Carrier HVAC leadership to understand market trends, customer needs, and business goals. Align digital innovation and data strategy initiatives with Carrier's overall business strategy to drive competitive advantage.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer service, as well as external partners and customers. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their requirements and advocating for digital solutions and data-driven strategies that meet their needs.

  • Innovation Management: Lead the identification and assessment of emerging technologies, trends, and market opportunities relevant to Carrier's HVAC business in Japan. Evaluate potential innovations and develop business cases for their adoption and implementation.

  • Data Strategy Development: Define and implement data strategy initiatives aimed at maximizing the value of data assets across the organization. Identify opportunities to collect, analyze, and leverage data to drive insights, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experiences.

  • Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, data analytics, and innovation teams, to develop and implement digital and data-driven solutions. Partner with external vendors, startups, and research institutions to explore collaborative opportunities and drive innovation.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance and impact of digital innovation and data strategy initiatives. Analyze key metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and integration of digital and data-driven initiatives within Carrier HVAC Japan. Provide training, support, and guidance to stakeholders to facilitate organizational change

Requirements

We are looking for people who are experienced Enterprise Business Systems professional. Responsible for managing or performing work associated with digital business analysis.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Proven experience in business relationship management, digital transformation, or a related role.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable digital and data strategies.

  • Knowledge of digital technologies, data analytics tools and techniques, innovation frameworks, and best practices in digital transformation.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights, inform decision-making, and improve business outcomes.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels.

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, matrix teams in multi-cultural setup to achieve strategic goals. Proactive, self-motivated and a team player.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and project management skills.

  • Ability to handle several projects at a given time.

  • Proven experience in management of outsourced vendors during project implementation, system integration and support.

  • Master/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as a Master's or MBA may be preferred, particularly if they specialize in innovation management, data analytics, or technology strategy.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology. At least 5 years of senior leadership role in a multi-national company with regional responsibility.

  • Proven experience in business relationship management, innovation management, or data strategy within the HVAC industry or a related sector.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving digital innovation initiatives, implementing data-driven strategies, and delivering business results.

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Good knowledge of cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.).

  • Good knowledge in Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Digital Marketing Solutions, and systems

  • Good knowledge in Agile methodology, preferably certified Scrum master
