About the role

The Digital Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for Carrier HVAC in Japan, specializing in Aftermarket & Solutions, plays a pivotal role in driving digital strategies and solutions tailored specifically for the aftermarket segment. This position focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and enhance service offerings to meet the evolving needs of the market. The Digital BRM serves as a trusted advisor, leveraging digital technologies and data-driven insights to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence within the aftermarket segment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Service & Aftermarket BRM Japan, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with After Market & Solutions Team, internal teams, including service, sales, marketing, and product development, as well as external partners and customers within the aftermarket segment. Act as a liaison between stakeholders, understanding their needs and advocating for digital solutions that address their requirements.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis and customer research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the aftermarket segment. Gain insights into customer pain points, preferences, and behaviours to inform digital strategies and solution development.

  • Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital solutions tailored for the aftermarket segment. This may include digital service platforms, remote monitoring solutions, predictive maintenance tools, and customer engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and customer experience.

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the aftermarket segment and develop strategies to expand Carrier's market presence and revenue streams. This may involve partnering with third-party service providers, developing service agreements, and exploring new service offerings or business models.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor the performance of digital solutions and aftermarket initiatives, analyzing key metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on the progress and impact of digital initiatives.

  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and integration of digital solutions within the aftermarket segment. Provide training, support, and guidance to internal teams and external partners to facilitate organizational change and adoption.

Requirements

We are looking for people who are experienced Enterprise Business Systems professional. Responsible for managing or performing work associated with digital business analysis. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Strong business knowledge in various domain preferably in manufacturing business under different business model B2B, B2B2C, and B2C, etc

  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong and maturity in relationship and stakeholder management and influencing skills in multiculture global environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels.

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, matrix teams in multi-cultural setup to achieve strategic goals. Proactive, self-motivated and a team player.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and project management skills.

  • Ability to handle several projects at a given time.

  • Proven experience in management of outsourced vendors during project implementation, system integration and support.

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology. At least 5 years of senior leadership role in a multi-national company with a regional responsibility.

  • Proven track record in successfully implementing ERP, CRM systems in the manufacturing industry offering complex configurable products.

  • Experience and knowledge in major ERP/PDM/CRM/Data Lake, BI/SAP/Salesforce/eCommerce/Digital Marketing/Service System/Digital Factory/IoT Solution etc.)

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

  • Good knowledge of cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.).

  • Good knowledge in Data Privacy, Cyber Security

  • Good knowledge in Agile methodology, preferably certified Scrum master
