About This Role

Experienced Distribution Channel Management professional, overseeing and participating in various sales and customer relationship management processes. Responsible for representing the company's interests, and building business relationships to enhance distribution channel management performance.

 This position will be responsible for the design and execution of marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs to achieve Residential Unitary and Ductless Sales Goals for the Carrier, Bryant and Payne brands as well as Ductless Sales Goals for the ICP brands.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Residential Unitary and Ductless product sales and growth with a multi-channel strategy

  • Develop, support, and manage joint growth strategies with Distribution to increase customer base, convert contractors and engineers, and increase market share

  • Train the sales channel on Residential Unitary and Ductless sales and marketing programs

  • Assist the sales channel to ensure satisfied customers

  • Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps

  • Assist the sales channel, service, and contractors to rapidly resolve issues

  • Examine marketing and sales statistics plus field conditions to identify opportunities and devise strategies for maximum growth and increased market share

  • Familiar with energy rebates and tax incentives within their Region

  • Responsible for compiling competitive product and pricing data relative to job quotes and market pricing

  • Contributes to their team or department by applying their knowledge of one or more functional areas across multiple channels

  • Fully developed professional able to work without direct guidance or direction from others

  • Has in depth knowledge of the discipline and role

  • Act as a primary contact to identify prospective for distribution and channel management teams and develops a professional relationship to understand the customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet the customer needs.

  • Conducts business development activities for distribution and channel management teams within defined customer segment to support the business strategy.

  • Leads bid opportunities, participates in the preparation of bid responses and the negotiation with potential customers.

  • Develops and promotes new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.

  • Proactively supports and develops prospective projects with assigned customers and presents to sales business development team.

  • Develop personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.

  • Develops customer presentations for specific customer needs

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ Years of Sales Experience

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the HVAC industry

  • 2+ years sales experience working with and/or selling to distributors

  • Ability to travel 60% of the time domestically throughout the assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

  • Must possess excellent verbal communication and customer service skills, along with the skill set to present product solutions to customer base.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Have the ability to manage a multi-state territory.

  • Product knowledge and application experience

  • Have the ability to work with customers to develop mutually beneficial goals, meet quota, document, communicate & execute sales strategies for the assigned territory.

  • Experience with Account Management.

  • The ability to work in a Direct & Matrixed Team selling environment, as well as influence cross functional teams to achieve goals.

  • Willingness to challenge conventional thinking in pursuit of innovative approach to solution selling.

  • Strong ability to handle difficult customer discussions while retaining ongoing business relationship.

Pay Range:

$112,828 - $157,959 Annually
